Retail therapy (from my previous post) turned out to be a quick trip to Boise for groceries and necessities at Walmart, lunch at Burger King and a much needed trip to the library for me. It was too hot to do much else but buzz in and buzz out and get back to the swamp cooler and the cool running creek!
While at Walmart I checked out their fabric section and got these 3 fairly large remnant pieces for .11 cents each! I was excited. Did I mention I'm a fabric hoarder????
I found this in the foreign food aisle. I have no idea what it is but it starts with "cock" and contains no alcohol so um, no, not gonna' try it.
Lunch. My own personal "dashboard confessional." The Alaskan fish sandwich, fries n' sweet tea with lemon.
My trip to the library resulted in these summer reading finds.
I just finished "Friends Forever" by Danielle Steel. She's one of my favorite authors and "Friends Forever" was a nice, easy summer read so I grabbed 4 more books to get me through the next week or so. I tend to devour books so who knows, I may be back to the library on Monday. I'm starting another Danielle Steel book tonight, "The Gift." I haven't read her in so long I'm playing a bit of catch up.
I added a Shelfari bookshelf to my blog (again, I had one years ago) so you can see what I'm reading. Which is what I plan on doing all weekend.
What about you?
What are your plans for the weekend?
What's on your summer bookshelf??
once upon a time . . .
