Yeah, me either.
My son invited me over to "watch" the game with him. Translated that means, "Bring food mom, play with your grandson and talk to my fiance' while I watch the game." Ah, he knows me so well. I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl unless of course the Detroit Lions are playing which sadly they are not, and I suspect, never will. - Sniff, sniff..
I will however watch the commercials especially after seeing this sneak peek. This is who I'm shakin' my pom poms for! And don't even get me started on his "tight end!"
As for food I'll be bringing drinks, shredded, spicy bbq chicken on toasted buns, my awesome cream cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped japalenos and my grandson requested peanut butter cookies. He also wanted them frosted but his dad vetoed that idea. His dad is no fun.
The rest of the food is "on the house," as on their house. Both my son and his fiance' are spectacular in the kitchen and always have good eats on hand, even my grandson is hands on in the kitchen, as evidenced by his very own, specially handmade and decorated Christmas cookies.

Poor Lions. At least my Dolphins have been there, done that but it's been so long ago that I barely remember. Enjoy the day with your grandson. The goodies you are bringing sound perfect :)
@Martha - I remember your Dolphins being there and doing that, sadly I can't say that about my Lions.. Thank you. I will have a most awesome day with my grandson. We'll be munchin' on the cookies! :D
I love the fact your grandson is creative with decorating...exactly how it should be.

Haha!! I know...someone asked me who I was wanting to win the super bowl...I of course answered the Detroit Lions...but since they are not even playing...I am just here for the food and the commercials! They can't take that away from me! haha!! I really need to get your jalapeno recipe...we are having meatball bites, nachos, corn dip with fritos, con queso with chips, pizza,chicken strips mozarella sticks..and finishing it off with apple pie and ice cream..oh and yes..I purchase the Edy's Super Bowl ice cream..complete with Chocolate covered peanut butter footballs! All bathroom runs will be during the football game...cause we are here for the commercials!! (until the Lions get there!)
@Faith - Omg.. You can take the girl outta' Michigan but you can't take the Michigan outta' the girl! Your FEAST sounds AMAZING! I have no idea what awaits me at my son's but they both love to cook so I'm sure it will be awesomeness! Super Bowl ice cream?? Why haven't I seen this?? Yum-o!!
