GETTIN' UP OFF MY ASS - LITERALLY!

This is a lie. 

Well, not the good in bed part. 

I cannot sleep for days!

I felt that "bug" coming on full force and I trriiiieeeddd to do all that I know to do. Meds, plenty of fluids and sleep but guess what? You can only sleep for so long and you can only remain in the horizontal position for so long! Unless Ryan Gosling is lying next to you... So, what did I do? I very carefully got up off of my ass! I was a little light headed, it took me a minute to realize I really wasn't going to fall off the edge of my floor. I took a nice hot shower and started feeling human again. My eye balls eventually stopped burning holes in my skull, the pounding in my head is now down to a dull throb, I still ache all over my body but hey, I'm sitting up! I've moved! I'm making progress!

Taking full advantage of the sitting up position I did a little creating.. I changed the look of my blog. Let me know what you think! And I did some sewing..

I did a couple more blocks for my grandson's quilt. Here's the bulldog block. I like this one a lot. I didn't actually make the bulldog. I just added it and embellished it onto the block I made.

Then, my little sis has been bugging me to make her a cosmetic bag so I made this for her.

Then I started working on a "Hello Kitty" scrappy quilt. Totally forgot I had the "Hello Kitty" embroidery patterns on my embroidery card for my machine.

Now of course, I'm heading back to bed because I really do need to rest and I think I may have over done it just a bit today - not just sewing.. I did house cleaning too! I know. Sounds so lame. So many of you have to  go to work, come home, tend to kids, clean house, make dinner and a million other things, all while you're sick, and truly, I feel for you because I remember those days too which makes me somewhat thankful for these.

I'll be back tomorrow, bright eyed and bushy haired - okay maybe not bright eyed but definitely bushy haired, taking my meds, drinking some hot tea and reading all of your blogs.
